Chocolate shopping in Paris 6th where gourmet treats abound

Considered to be one of the top ten French chocolatiers, Patrick Roger studied for over a decade under various chocolate makers and pastry chefs before opening his own company in 1997 at the age of 29. He sources the very best ingredients from locations around the globe. Cocoa beans from Ecuador and Vanuatu, orange from Corsica, Szechuan chestnuts, Turin marron glace stems, Scottish whisky and coffee from the shores of the Red Sea. Then he creates wonders, especially at Christmas when he produces chocolate emperor penguins, miniature chocolate snow globes and even Christmas trees shaped from chocolate dusted with a tasty sweet snow.

La Maison du Chocolat was founded by Robert Linxe in 1977 and is a shop for the truly serious chocolate aficionado. This gourmet chocolate maker now has boutiques all over the world, but this is where it all began. Stunning chocolate sculptures are displayed. Flavours, textures and creativity blend together to offer tasty treats to make your mouth water. Truffles, pralines, coffrets filled with ganache; all this and very much more awaits your delectation, so why not treat yourself?
